Scholarships
Scholarships are generated from a variety of sources including the college, high school, individual/s donors, and community organizations. Scholarships are separate from financial aid programs, like TAP and work-study, which a student must apply for separately on an annual basis. If awarded a scholarship from SUNY Delhi, once accepted, it will automatically be applied to the recipient/student’s account. Based on the type of scholarship, or amount, financial aid received may be adjusted.
Scholarships are awarded based on a multitude of factors, including academic excellence, major/study, geography, and personal achievements.
- Campus-Based Scholarships
-
There are numerous scholarships available to both incoming and current students based on academic achievement and campus involvement, among other criteria. Award amounts vary and are selected by individual departments across campus and the scholarship committee on a continuing basis.
To apply, students must complete a general application. The application requires general student information, a personal essay (500 words or fewer) regarding extracurricular activities/achievements, the reason for choosing SUNY Delhi and your specific major, as well as how your education will assist you in reaching your personal goals.
After completing the general application, students will be auto-matched with numerous scholarships that are available to them. Applicants will also have the opportunity to upload additional materials (references, co-curricular transcript, etc.), in order to fulfill requirements for scholarships that require criteria in addition to the general application.
