External Transfer Policy
The SUNY Delhi Department of Architecture adheres to the larger institutional transfer policy (Transfer Page) in addition to the following transfer policy. This policy will be completed for all students who are attempting to bring equivalency credits that will waive lower and upper division courses.
Transfer Students:
Students who seek to transfer from an external institution will be required to meet and follow all standards for the admittance to SUNY Delhi in addition to an internal review of your transcript by the Department of Architecture faculty and the Transfer Coordinator.
SUNY Delhi is a National Architecture Accrediting Board candidate institution and must be able to prove that the work done at another institution is equal to that done at New York Tech.
This means you must exhaustively document the work you did elsewhere to have the possibility of course equivalency considered. Submitting a course description is not sufficient evidence.
Architecture Transfer Review Process:
- All relevant documents will be shared with the Transfer Review Coordinator by your admissions councilor.
- A meeting will be scheduled to review the documents with the Transfer Coordinator.
- During your meeting with the Transfer Review Coordinator, you will receive an Estimated Transfer Equivalency Breakdown and a detailed review of the credit justification process.
- If there are questions about specific courses that do not directly require a course justification, you will be asked to provide syllabi for credit evaluation.
- Students with previous academic experience may be eligible for transfer credit of
the courses below based upon the successful completion of comparable courses at other
