Birgitta Brophy, RLA
Associate Professor

Associate Professor Brophy is a registered landscape architect and has been teaching at Delhi since 1997. Ms. Brophy typically instructs in the areas of graphics, landscape design and site engineering although she has been a part of the horticulture and site development classes. In addition, she is a faculty advisor to the Horticulture Club which is also a student chapter of the Professional Landcare Network. Ms. Brophy is on the Education Committee of the Empire State Green Industry Show, serves on the SUNY Delhi Beautification Committee, and is a member of the American Horticultural Society and New York Botanical Garden. Ms. Brophy received an AAS degree in Landscape Management from SUNY Cobleskill and a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Kathleen Gillooley

Kathleen Gillooley joined the SUNY Delhi Community as an Instructional Support Associate in 1989. She teaches courses in woody plant identification, maintenance, and installation as well as landscape construction. During this time, she has served as the advisor to both the Turf and Horticulture Clubs and was awarded the Student Life Leadership Award. Ms. Gillooley is a graduate of SUNY Delhi, where she received her Associate in Applied Science degree, and also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University, both in Plant Science-Landscape Horticulture. She is a member of the Professional Landcare Network, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the International Society of Arboriculture, the New York State Turfgrass Association, the New York State Nursery and Landscape Association, and the State University of New York Horticulture Education Committee. Ms. Gillooley is a New York State Licensed Pesticide Applicator.

Julia Ward
Instructional Support Associate

Julia Ward is the Greenhouse Facility Manager and teaches greenhouse production. She is also the Internship Coordinator for the 2 and 4 year Turf students, serving as the liaison between students and employers. Ms. Ward is an advisor to both the Turf Club and the Horticulture Club, an active member of the SUNY Delhi Beautification Committee, Professional Landcare Network and the community 4-H club. Ms. Ward is a graduate of SUNY Delhi, having received her Associate in Applied Science degree in Landscape Contracting.
