Inauguration FAQ

What is a presidential inauguration?

The inauguration is a formal ceremony celebrating the appointment of the new college president. It is a momentous occasion that honors the institution's traditions while marking the beginning of a new chapter in leadership.

When and where will the inauguration take place?

The inauguration ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in the Clark Fieldhouse on the SUNY Delhi campus. The ceremony will begin at noon.

Is the inauguration open to the public?

Yes, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to attend the investiture ceremony. The formal inauguration ceremony on April 3 is a free, general admission event. The Inauguration Gala requires a purchased ticket.

Is RSVP required to attend the inauguration ceremony?

Members of the campus community and public may RSVP for the inauguration ceremony. This will assist in our event planning.

Faculty, staff, and emeriti staff who wish to join the academic processional, may RSVP here, or to president@delhi.edu by March 17. If you require regalia please indicate that in your response.

What is the proper attire?
Attire depends on your role at the ceremony. All attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite "kicks" as a fun way to celebrate President Bonderoff and her signature style featuring Converse sneakers!

Processional participants: Wear your regalia attire for the ceremony. You may want to have a change of clothes for reception afterward to ensure comfort.

General audience: Business casual attire is the recommended dress code.

Students, faculty, staff, emeriti and alumni (not participating in the ceremony): Business casual is also recommended, but feel free to showcase your Bronco green and gold! It’s a special occasion, so dress appropriately while embracing your school spirit!
Where may I park on inauguration day?

General parking will be in the Lower Lot (also known as G Lot). Shuttle service will be available to transport guests to the Clark Field House for the event and back to the parking lot after the event.

Clark Field House parking is reserved for special guests only.
