Institutional Review Board Training

Training and Tutorials

All IRB members and investigators should read the following basic documents which provide the background for human subjects research:

All faculty and staff members planning to conduct research activities must first receive certification from a recognized Human Subjects certification review course prior to submission of application for research.

Researchers must complete human subjects protection training through an outside institution such as the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training, which is accepted for a three-year period, or the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is accepted for a one-year period.

  • To take the CITI training for Human Subjects Research (HSR) course, you will need to visit the CITI login page, and enter our institution as "SUNY - College of Tech. at Delhi"
  • For any clarifications or questions, contact the IRB Chair, Dr. Nancy Winters, at winternn@delhi.edu or 607-746-4813.
  • For more background on human subjects research and training, please visit CITI Program Training.
