The 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held outdoors at the Track & Field Facility

The ceremony begins promptly at 10 AM and will last for approximately 2 hours.

  • Students and guests are permitted to park on campus. Please enter through the main entrance. Parking and guest seating is first come, first served. Indoor seating is also available in The Okun Theater and Farrell Commons. Additionally, a live stream will be available on the commencement website the day of the ceremony.
  • Guests  are permitted to park on campus. Please enter campus through the main entrance. There will be shuttle busses transporting individuals to the Track & Field Facility starting at 7:45 a.m.
  • Those who require handicapped parking should inform the officers at the entrance. 
  • Parking and guest seating is first come, first served. Indoor seating is also available in The Okun Theatre. Additionally, a live stream will be available on the commencement website the day of the ceremony.
  • A Food Truck will be available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. They will accept cash or credit card as payment.

Below, please find helpful information to make your visit as enjoyable as possible: 

  1. Parking:
    • Arriving early is your best chance to find a parking spot. Please also build enough time to get to the site of the ceremony.
    • A parking map will be provided to show guest parking locations and shuttle pick-ups. Guests may walk or take a campus shuttle from the parking lots to the ceremony location. Shuttles will be running on a constant loop around campus.
    • Handicap parking availability and handicap-accessible shuttle locations are also highlighted on the map.
  2. Ceremony: The Commencement Ceremony will be held outdoors at the Track & Field Facility.
    • Outdoor seating is first come, first served. 
    • Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs in the event that seating is at capacity. 
    • All bags are subject to search. Bags over 12" by 12" will not be permitted.
    • For maximum comfort, also consider bringing:
      • Sunscreen (and be sure to apply in advance)
      • Bringing a water bottle (bottle filling stations will be available)  
    • Portable restrooms will be available at the ceremony site. 
    • Programs will be distributed at the main entrance to the ceremony site. All guests should access the site from this location. Programs are available on a first come, first served basis. 
    • A small onsite reception, featuring cookies and beverages, will be held immediately following the ceremony, all guests are welcome to attend!
    • Note: Only service dogs are permitted on campus.
  3. Alternate Viewing Locations: 
    • For guests who would prefer a more comfortable viewing option on campus, the ceremony will be live streamed in The Okun Theatre, located in The Farrell Student and Community Center. 
    • Livestream: For those who would like to view the ceremony online, the livestream will be available the morning of the ceremony. 
  4. Accessibility: 
    • Sign language interpreters will be onsite during the ceremony. 
    • Live captioning will also be available. 
    • Accessible parking is in the Track lot (E). 
    • Accessible seating is located on the field. There will be signage leading to the accessible seats.
