Students should already have the following tools from
CARP 220 Residential Remodeling

• 2' level (preferably wood)
• 4' level (preferably wood)
• Brick Trowel (narrow London 10"-11", American made)
• Brick Hammer (wood or tubular handles not recommended)
• Brick Spacing Rule (not a modular or oversize brick ruler)
• Brickset - 31/2" or 4"
• Tool Bag(or 5 gallon pail)
• 100' Mason Line (braided not twisted)
• Bricklayer's Brush (foxtail or counter brush)
• 1/2" x 5/8" Convex Jointer
• Utility Knife
• Tin Snips
• Nail Hammer
• Line Blocks, Twigs & Pins
• Hard Hat & Safety Glasses

Additional Tools Required for Masonry

• 1/4"x 3/8" & 1/2"x 5/8" flat double-sided slickers (tuckpointer or caulking trowel)
• Mash Hammer, 2 pound or larger
• 2" Margin or Bucket Trowel
• Adjustable Line Stretchers
• Ear Plugs or Hearing Protector
