Summer Aid Application

Students who plan to take summer courses may be eligible for financial aid. To be considered for summer aid, you must:

  1. Be matriculated in a degree program at SUNY Delhi and be registered for courses that apply toward your degree.
  2. Complete all financial aid requirements by the due date of your bill, which is the first day of summer classes.  If your financial aid is not completely processed by that date, you may need to pay your summer tuition bill with alternate funding options.
  3. Be passing SUNY Delhi's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards to receive federal or state financial aid.  Your SAP review will occur after Spring 2025 final grades are available.  Failure to meet these standards may result in loss of summer financial aid.

How to Apply for Summer Financial Aid:

  1. Register for summer courses.
  2. Complete the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and add SUNY Delhi as a school choice.  Our school code is '002857.'
  3. If you plan to borrow federal student loans for the summer, complete the Summer Student Loan Application.  To be eligible for a student loan, students must be complete the 2025-26 FAFSA and be registered for at least 6 credits.  To start the application:
      • First-Time Users: Create an account on our Student Forms Portal  by using your SUNY Delhi student email.  Be sure to enter your name and any other requested information exactly as it appears on your FAFSA.
      • Log in: Once an account has been created, log in using your SUNY Delhi Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials at the Student Forms Portal
      • Once logged in, click on 'Manage Request' and select the 'Summer Student Loan Request' form.
      • If you have other outstanding tasks, we encourage you to submit them as soon as possible as they may be required before we can calculate your summer aid options.

Note: By registering for summer classes and completing the 2025-26 FAFSA, eligible students will automatically be considered for the Federal Pell Grant.  No additional application beyond the FAFSA is needed for summer pell.

Next Steps:

  1. After applying for summer financial aid, Student Financial Services (SFS) will review your Summer Aid application and/or FAFSA to determine your eligibility.
  2. Be on the lookout for communications from SFS (via email/mail) that may require you to provide more information before your summer aid can process.
  3. You will be notified via email if you requested student loans and you now have the option to accept (or decline) the loan offers in your Bronco Web.  Accepted student loans may not appear as a credit on your summer bill until June 2025.
  4. Monitor your financial aid and billing statement in Bronco Web for changes.
  5. Visit the Summer Policies & Requirements web page for more information about billing, withdrawing, textbooks, and other related information.
  6. Consider applying for alternate funding sources during the summer.  Eligible part-time students can considering apply for the NYS Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS) program or other state programs for various enrollment statues.  Using state aid in the summer term may reduce your future funding levels.

  • All notifications regarding summer financial aid will be sent to your SUNY Delhi email address.

  • If your summer enrollment changes after receiving financial aid, it could affect your eligibility.  Contact Student Financial Services if you plan to drop courses or withdraw from the summer term as this may impact your current or future financial aid.
