Advisement Track for Nursing

Students who have applied for Nursing who did not meet the minimum qualifications are put in our Biology major. This will have the potential of adding additional time while at Delhi. Students also have the option of taking the TEAS exam (see Nursing Page) and scoring a 65% or higher to be rereviewed and enter the Nursing program. 

First Semester

• • BIOL 130 - General Biology I (preferred)Credit Hours: 4 
  •  or BIOL 100 - Fundamentals of Biology  Credit Hours: 4
• ENGL 100 - Composition I or ENGL 200 - Composition II Credit Hours: 3
• MATH by Advisement Credit Hours: 3
• General Education  or LAS electives by advisement Credit Hours: 3 or 6
• UNIV 100 - First Year Seminar or UNIV 101 - Student Success Credit Hours: 1 or 3

*based on course availability and pending any prior college level course work

Second Semester

• By advisement

Nursing Requirements:

• 85 + GPA
  • Or TEAS Exam 65% or higher
• NY State Students must have a Regents Diploma
• Transfer Students must have a 3.0 GPA
• 4 Years English
• 3 Years Math (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra Trigonometry or Algebra II, or a college level Math)
• 3 Years Science (Biology/living environment required, Chemistry strongly recommended)
